We are an animal-wefare-focused non-profit located near Raleigh, NC. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and our EIN is 46-5333166. We are committed to transparency and listed with GuideStar at the Platinum level. We currently have three divisions.

Our Avian Division:

Marden’s Ark Avian Refuge (you are here) – a sanctuary and rescue that gives care and shelter to companion birds in need.

Our Feline Division:  (ON HIATUS)

Marden’s Cat Tales  – a foster-based cat rescue that pulls cats and kittens from high-kill rural shelters and finds loving families to adopt them.

Our Canine Division:
